Goodbye

Filed under: Uncategorized — onebassist @ 10:02 am

Time passes so fast, so so fast. It’s already 3 quarters passed Year 2008. Though we may feel the New Year celebration still fresh, a slap on the face would certainly bring us back to reality. The year 2009 will be a totally different year. We are stepping out of the gates of Victoria Institution. How much do we remember what we’ve gone through? Will the memories bring tears into our eyes or perhaps a smile remembering the good old times? Or are we rejoicing that everything is over. We just can’t deny that deep inside, there is little or more reluctance to leave the school and embark our journey into an unforseen world.

Year 2004

The blur dogs, the cowards , the geeks, the nerds, the worried and the brave put their first steps into the Institution. Yes, you’ve got it right. The ones mentioned were us. Did we make the right choice? The prefects were just so horrible. Everyone was scared. No one knew what to do. No one did stand up. All cowards. Yeah.. we can’t help it. We were the smallest. No one had a choice. Everyone had to be bullied, had to go through orientation, had to learn the school history and most importantly, we had to love the school. Things weren’t so bad after we got used to it. We finally learned how to survive in the all boys’ school. Well, excluding the Form 6. We then split to contribute to different societies. Scouts, Band, ‘Doctors’ , and Cadets were just a few. 50 more societies discovered as we stayed longer.

2005

Was this the best year? Since PMR’s only the next year and we are not the smallest anymore. Our knowledge about the school increased quite a little I suppose. We won’t get lost in our school anymore, well, at least… We began to get to know more friends, knowing the whole batch by now. More students joined us. We greeted them and turned them into ours. A little responsibility to be shouldered now. We had people to bully now though we ourselves are still being bullied. No worries on studies, all we did was just having fun. Building ourselves up. Oh yeah, some of us had posts and ranks in our societies by then.

2006

We given the responsibility to uphold the school’s name by doing well in this almost useless PMR examination. We were bigger now and we had more juniors to control. =) More and more work given to us by the seniors. Yet , we accepted them with a happy smile though deep inside, we swore and cursed. We never said ‘no’ . Were we dogs? Or were we just enduring so that we would get something pretty good in return. This is the year most of us went through ” nice training” if you know what I mean. It was not that hard actually right? Seriously, do we miss it?

2007

A turning point for every one of us. We were mostly in charge. We were not really juniors then to the Form fives, but more to a boss-assistant relationship. We worked very hard for one very good reason. To achieve the highest ranks in the society for year 2008. We learned to control, we gave orders, we were deputies and people to be referred to should the upper ones be busy or absent. Well, hard work paid off. In late 2007, Congratulations Troop Leaders, Warrant Officers,  Presidents, Vices, Secretaries , Treasurers, 01,02,03 and others.

2008

We regret now. SPM’s around the corner and we have so much to catch up. Yet, there are so many other extra things to handle. Isn’t it better if we were just normal members. So much to stress, so much to study. Well, we cant compain much. Everything has to be compensated. Take note, we are the biggest, the strongest and we choose the people we like to take over. Wow… such power. This is our last year. Finally leaving the school with heavy hearts. Hoping the best for the school and ourselves as we battle the SPM with all our might. So much memories, so little time left. Some of us hope that we could turn back the clock to the times we hoped to turn the clock forward. Goodbye VI…

I don’t know

Filed under: Uncategorized — onebassist @ 12:59 pm

Things have changed and it is hard to accept. As we venture into the real world, things that we have left behind can’t be claimed anymore. Is it good to grow up? Or is it better to be Peter Pan. I would prefer being Peter Pan actually. After all the things I have been through, isn’t it better to become a primary student once again. Or maybe kindergarten. No lies, all sincerity. Come on, kids don’t lie, do they? Haha… anyway just crapping.

Roads

Filed under: Uncategorized — onebassist @ 3:54 pm

Have you guys ever realized that life is made up of roads? As in plenty of roads? As we are still being new to many things, sometimes we just wonder whether the roads we choose will lead us to the place we want. For example education after UPSR. Why do people got to SAB? Why do people go to St. Johns? Why Victoria Institution?

Everyone has his or her reasons for doing something.

Ugly Girls

Filed under: Uncategorized — onebassist @ 5:52 pm

I am from a boys’ school and yeah.. we talk a lot about girls. Who is pretty and who is otherwise. So, they say ,” Ai yer, chue par ( fat and ugly ) ” It keeps me wondering when guys who are not handsome say that. I have never called a girl ugly before, be it in front of them or behind them because I am afraid that I will not get a gorgeous looking girlfriend/wife next time. The worst that I say would probably be “ok lar”

When people ask me whether they are pretty or handsome, I would say, “yeah” unless I am joking. So, don’t bother asking me if you want an honest opinion.

For guys, you can always get a girl if you are rich and successful. It is not that that particular girl craves for your money, just that, she feels that you are capable and that adds a lot of points to your relationship. That’s what I think. Of course, handsome guys have advantages.

Campboree

Filed under: Uncategorized — onebassist @ 10:36 am

I just came back from the Campboree just yesterday. I have to say that I miss it although I was reluctant to go at first. There were about 1200 people there. Wow.. from 4 countries which are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. Needless to say, Malaysia has the most participants.

Things seemed to go well there. People which we had bad impressions of became our friends. I guess that happens. haha… I kinda did not like the group of 6 from Tsun Jin,… because they erm spoke chinese.. lol.. everything they did, I did not like. At the end, we became good friends.. lol what the.. Long story….

Hardly a month from now, I would be a form 5 student.. Time really flies

My younger brother cut his hair which I was really shocked when I first saw him today. He looks like some kinda lala chai. I believe that the nicest hair you have is when you like them grow naturally without needing to style them up. Just a normal haircut will do.

I just cant study  now. I really have to settle everything starting from December 10. Exactly 21 days before the holidays end.
